Our Horses

Junior

Junior is a 15 year old Quarter Horse cross. He originally came to Happy Mama Farm to be trained and resold, but he was such a good horse, and fit in so well, that he found a home. He loves to trail ride. Junior is the boss gelding at the farm, though Sabo might sometimes say otherwise.

Anne

Anne is a registered Quarter Horse mare with a great disposition. Two Eyed Annalisa is Anne's registered name. She is by Two Eyed Soldier and out of Two Eyed Obsession, born Feb. 6, 1991. She came to Happy Mama Farm in August of 2002. We have high hopes that she will one day pass her wonderful temperment and good looks on to a foal.

Merlin

Merlin is a 11 year old Morgan gelding. He is a black bay. He loves to eat anything, but apples are a special favorite. Lately, Merlin has been learning some new tricks, like jumping over barrels and bowing. He'll do anything to get a treat! Merlin is good friends with Sabo.

Sabo

Sabo is a 10 year old registered Paint gelding. He is a palamino paint. Sabo joined the Dream Quest staff in the summer of 2006. Previously, Sabo participated in team cattle penning competitions. Sabo is very friendly, and he loves to trot. Occasionally, he also likes to tease Junior.

Chief

Chief is a 21 year old Appaloosa and Quarter Horse cross gelding. He is the most recent addition to the Dream Quest staff. He came to us from the same previous owner as Merlin, so the two of them are old friends. Chief is a sweet, patient horse who really watches out for his riders. He loves treats, and he enjoys being brushed.

Rex

Rex is a 37 year old Arabian gelding. He is the first horse of Happy Mama Farm owner Margaret. Though Rex does not actively participate in E.F.P. sessions or Therapeutic Riding lessons, he is definitely a part of the Dream Quest family. Currently, he is enjoying his retirement, strolling the green pastures and soaking up the sunlight. He appreciates the attention he gets from all of the farm visitors.
