Dream Quest in Action

A 13 year old boy enjoys a session with one of our Dream Quest horses, Merlin.

In addition to riding, sessions and lessons may include other activities.

Ground work is often incorporated into the Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy sessions and Therapeutic Riding lessons.

Clients and horses gain mutual trust through a variety of exercises.

Accomplishing various tasks with the horses helps clients build confidence.

Merlin is lead by volunteer Jackie Griswold.

Another volunteer takes a turn leading Merlin.

As clients build their confidence and develop their riding skills, they earn the opportunity to ride independently.

Individual and group sessions and lessons are available.
